The people who couldn’t get fluffy stuff in the ceiling for the rats and mice to sleep on without setting fire to 190 houses; 

The people who decided to go on some manic building  spree in the backyard of every school, whether  the schools liked it or not and in many cases in  multiples of the cost of the true price on the structures;

These same people who thought they could reboot the global economy with the purchase of imported electronic goods with $900 cheques; the same people who have got you into $181billion in gross debt; 

Yet the same people again who  looked down the barrel of a camera to talk to the Australian people  and stated categorically they would never bring in a carbon tax in the term of their government; 

They are the people who are going to bring in the carbon tax because they have the quite evident expertise, despite all the history to the contrary ,to cool the planet from a room in Canberra. 

Not surprisingly, what they have changed is the temperature of people’s disposition. There is a palpable white fury from the deceit that people feel. People can hardly afford and in some cases not afford at all the power bills they currently have. They do not need any more motivation to use less power. They are totally focused on this because they can’t afford to pay for their current usage.

People understand that you either have cheap power or cheap wages. There is another alternative, no jobs and Australia’s manufacturing industry, or what’s left of it, is well and truly in the sights of this absurd decision of Ms Gillard. I look forward to AWU Secretary, Mr Howse, in his next Mussolini impersonation behind the podium, to go into bat for these jobs, but I haven’t heard boo from him today.

In the background, literally and photographically, are Mr Windsor and Mr Oakeshott. Mr Oakeshott, well you can just make your own mind up about him, but Mr Windsor’s statement at the press conference is peculiar. He said, “and please don’t construe through my presence here that I will be actually supporting any scheme”. Well, Mr Windsor, what were you doing there? Did you get lost on the way to the toilet and just stumble across the Prime Minister doing her press conference and decide to stand in on it?

Please don’t tell me that we have to go through this teeth pulling agony as  you stand at the front of the political church in the big white fluffy dress saying ,” I don’t know how I got here and I don’t know whether I shall say I do. Don’t construe that this dress means I’m getting married to another Labor/ Green party decision.

I was not in the least bit surprised about the white fury I’m hearing in Sydney and how some of the illuminati misread that there would be such an overwhelming reaction against the announcement of the carbon tax. I am not surprised in the slightest by the almost monastic silence of Mr Bill Shorten as he sits back salivating on Ms Gillard and her Green cohorts happily mounting their own political pyre.

The aptly named Grand Cooling is exactly what it implies: the sun is going to cool. That cooling will also cool off the Earth. It will last from 30 to 50 years.

What exactly does global cooling mean? Well for one, Al Gore was sure wrong! The Earth isn't going to warm, it's going to get colder. Much colder. So cold a little or full-blown Ice Age will ensue. As a matter of fact, some scientists claim we're already in the early stages of an Ice Age.'

Maybe the Nobel Committee and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences should ask Mr. Gore to return his awards.

Dutch Professor Cees de Jager, a prominent astronomer and solar expert, forcefully asserts that we the world is indeed entering for a long period of very low solar activity. The professor and his colleagues are certain Earth is heading for a "long Grand Minimum"—defined as either a Solar Wolf-Gleissberg or a Maunder Minimum—"not shorter than a century." His 2010 paper, "The forthcoming Grand Minimum of solar activity," outlined the extended period of time that the diminished solar radiation would affect the Earth.

The Maunder minimum lasted from 1645 to 1715. It was marked by a period of general cooling over the entire planet. The Minimum coincided with the coldest year of the Little Ice Age.

When will gun abolition proponents realize that criminals don't really give a hang which laws are passed concerning the ownership of guns? 

Only decent law abiding citizens will obey gun control laws. 

How will that help lower crime?

Statements from the anti-gun lobby supporting the removal of weapons from law-abiding Australian citizens - most particularly the International Action Network on Small Arms and the Coalition for Gun Control - are emotive and completely without factual basis.

No reasonable person can confuse guns used by criminals as having any relationship to firearms owned by licensed, law-abiding sporting shooters. The nonsense dribbled by the anti-gun lobby is misinformation which unjustly and dishonestly scapegoats legitimately licensed shooting enthusiasts without benefit to the community.

Australians are killed in many ways. Indeed, some 2500 Australians kill themselves every year. The 400 or so Australians killed as a consequence of drink driving annually, the more than 500 who fall to their death each year, the hundreds who drown and the untold numbers who die through medical accident or malpractice are all important. But nothing gains a headline like the handful who are shot, because it seems the thousands who are killed by other means are somehow accepted.

Those who tug at our emotions about guns would have us believe that the murder of about 60 people each year by criminals using guns would miraculously stop if all guns owned by law abiding citizens were banned, but evidence worldwide makes it clear this is the stuff of fairytales.

What Country gave up a full scale invasion of Australia in the Second World War because "significant numbers of ordinary citizens had firearms and knew how to use them"?

The answer is JAPAN - the same Country whose leaders tried to disarm you via the United Nations! 

It would seem to make sense that a defensively strong country is one where substantial numbers of citizens own firearms.

I’m talking about those who deny NATURAL climate change. Like Al Gore, John Holdren, and everyone else who thinks climate change was only invented since they were born.

Climate Change Scientists Call for Food Rationing to Reduce Carbon Emissions

'Leading scientists have called for World War II-style rationing in First World countries to avert catastrophic global warming, in a series of papers published by the United Kingdom's Royal Society.

"The Second World War and the concept of rationing is something we need to seriously consider if we are to address the scale of the problem we face," said Kevin Anderson, Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research.

The recommendation came after Anderson concluded that no other method could secure the decrease in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions needed to prevent temperatures from rising to dangerous levels.

Swiss Say 'No' to Gun Control Vote

Swiss voters have thrown out an initiative to prohibit the possession of firearms at homes in a nationwide referendum that sought to curb gun violence in the country.

Final results showed that 20 out of 26 cantons were against while 56.3 percent of the population rejected the initiative, AFP reported on Sunday.

The proposal was introduced by an alliance of non-governmental groups and center-left parties in order to have rifles stored in armories instead of keeping them at residential areas.

In order for the referendum to be passed both a majority of districts and a majority of people should have voted in favor of the move.

The results have dashed hopes of anti-gun campaigners, including women, doctors and police officers, who argue that the easy availability of arms have largely contributed to the high rates of domestic gun violence, suicides and homicide in the Alpine country.

Official figures show that between 1.2 million and 4.5 million rifles are estimated to be in circulation in Switzerland, putting the country behind only the US and Yemen in guns per capita.

The government has voiced opposition to the initiative, arguing that the "current legislation assures adequate and sufficient protection of the population against the abusive use of weapons."

Meanwhile, Swiss Justice Minister Simonetta Sommaruga stated that in spite of the failure of the proposal to stiffen the gun control, Switzerland would remain a safe country.

UK Energy Minister Admits Wind Power May Never Break Even!

UK Energy Minister Charles Hendry told MPs governments had spent £2.2 billion supporting wind power over eight years - and it was impossible to predict when, or if, the energy source would prove profitable without grants.

In December last year dramatic plans to erect up to 20,000 wind turbines and put millions of electric cars on the roads were unveiled by the British Government’s climate experts.

The costs of switching to green power and transport would be covered by new environmental taxes and higher fuel bills.

Experts say the plans will cost around  £30billion a year.

Meanwhile in Australia more than $5.5 billion of taxpayers money has been spent by federal governments during the past decade on climate change programs that are delivering only small reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.

 

Wind power is intermittent, unreliable and hard to predict. 

To cover the total loss of power when the wind drops or blows too hard, every wind farm needs a conventional back-up power station (commonly gas-fired) with capacity of twice the design capacity of the wind farm to even out the sudden fluctuations in the electricity grid. This adds to the capital and operating costs and increases the instability of the network.

Why bother with the wind farm – just build the backup and achieve lower costs and better reliability?

There is no justification for continuing the complex network of state and federal subsidies, mandates and tax breaks that currently underpin construction of wind farms in Australia. If wind power is sustainable it will be developed without these financial crutches.

Wind power should compete on an equal basis with all other electricity generation options.

Obama Energy Secretary Steven Chu has launched the next phase of the White House’s publicly stated agenda to bankrupt the coal industry via EPA regulations after announcing the prospect of “massive” coal plant closures even as Texas and other states suffer rolling blackouts as a result of maxed-out power plants that cannot cope with demand.

The Obama administration’s strict enforcement of draconian EPA regulations has led to new clean-burning coal-fired plants being mothballed and other existing ones being shut down, which has in turn led to Texas and other states becoming energy-dependent, leading to shortages and blackouts exacerbated by freezing temperatures.

Despite White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer’s brazen lie in claiming that the blackouts are solely a result of “mechanical failures,” the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, the agency that oversees the state’s power, confirmed this morning that the threat of blackouts was ongoing as a result of a “maxed out grid”.

This “maxed out grid” is a consequence of federally enforced EPA restrictions that have led to the delay, mothballing and closing down of coal-fired plants. In Texas, approval for the much-needed Las Brisas Energy Center has been delayed for 3 years as a result of EPA meddling in Texas’ energy policy.

A federal court ruling last month gave the EPA permission to proceed with greenhouse gas regulation in Texas, temporarily superseding Texas’ non-compliance with the new regulations which came into force on January 2. The White House’s claim that EPA regulations are not currently affecting Texas is a complete fabrication.

Now White House Energy Secretary Steven Chu has made it clear that “massive” amounts of coal-fired plants in the United States will be closed down over the next five to eight years.

It appears the Greens want us all back living in caves - except of course for them!

Global Warming Freezes America!

Sounds like a press release from Bob "The Musician" Brown, leader of the Australian Greens after blaming mining companies for the Queensland floods.

As the deadly two-day blizzard finally passes, huge swathes of America must now brace for more snow and ice over the next three days as a storm brewing in the South and Texas is projected to move north by Saturday, dumping even more snow on top of already record-setting accumulation totals.

Snow is expected to fall over parts of Texas with rain over Louisiana, which will turn to snow over the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. A separate snowstorm will blow over much of the West, just as Chicago is recovering from its most damaging snowstorm in decades.


This week's storm was so catastrophic that buildings were crushed under the weight of the ice and snow.

Half Northern Hemisphere Covered in Ice & Snow.

At first glance it looks like a graphic from a Discovery Channel programme about a distant ice age. But this astonishing picture shows the world as it is today - with half the Northern Hemisphere covered with snow and ice.

The image was released by the National Oceanic And Atmospheric Association (NOAA) on the day half of North America was in the grip of a severe winter storm.

The map was created using multiple satellites from government agencies and the US Air Force.

That Antarctica, the Arctic, Greenland and the frozen wastes of Siberia are covered in white comes as no surprise. But it is the extent to which the line dips down over the Northern Hemisphere that is so remarkable about the image!

The shroud of white stretches down from Alaska and sweeps through the Midwest and along to the Eastern seaboard. The bitter cold has reached as far as Texas and northern Mexico where in Ciudad Juarez temperatures today were expected to dip to minus 15C.

Hundreds of drivers on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, which was blasted by 20 inches of snow, abandoned their cars in an almost apocalyptic scene as authorities closed the road.

The Australian Greens say Tropical Cyclone Yasi is a "tragedy of climate change".

The party was heavily criticised after it linked the Queensland floods to climate change and blamed coal miners.

Greens deputy leader Christine Milne says the cyclone is another example of why it is important to cut carbon pollution.
"This is a tragedy, but it is a tragedy of climate change," she said.

No depths are too low for the Greens' leader, exposing his "party" as a bunch of hysterical ecotards, more concerned with using the Queensland floods to push their extremist environmental agenda than for the suffering of so many people as a result of this tragedy. Fortunately, he has been criticised for his comments by all sides:
