Plagued by a free fall in carbon emissions prices and the perennial failure of Washington to pass any binding Cap and Trade Bill, it seems that the Chicago Climate Exchange is on its last leg, announcing that it will be scaling back its operations.

Chicago Climate Exchange or CCX, is North America’s sole voluntary, legally binding greenhouse gas trading and carbon “offset” projects in North America and Brazil. Rueters reported on Aug 11th that Intercontinental Exchange Inc, the operating body who purchased the struggling CCX in May this year, will be scaling back major operations this month, a move that includes massive layoffs. This is likely due to the complete market free-fall of their only product… carbon emissions.

UNEP is now a globe-girdling organization with a yearly budget of $136 million, which claims to act as the world’s environmental conscience. Strong consolidated his eco-credentials as the organizer of the U.N.’s 1992 environmental summit in Rio de Janeiro, which in turn paved the way for the controversial 1997 Kyoto Treaty on controlling greenhouse gas emissions.

Strong has refused to answer questions from FOX News about the nature of his business in China, though he has been linked in press reports to planned attempts to market Chinese-made automobiles in North America, and a spokesman for the U.S.-based firm that had invited him to speak in San Francisco, Cleantech Venture Network, says he has recently been “instrumental” in helping them set up a joint venture in Beijing. Strong’s assistant in Beijing did confirm by e-mail that he has an office in a Chinese government-hosted diplomatic compound, thanks to “many continuing relationships arising from his career including 40 years of active relationships in China.”'

Climate Change and The Green Agenda

It is beginning to look like Australia will not have a workable Government and we will have to head back to the polls. This is bought about by both major parties being basically the same! Neither party has anything of real value to present to the Austtralian people.

Some people have fallen for the line of the new Socialist Party, The Greens. Remember them? They are going to bring in a Carbon Tax to stop global warming. The Greens know that human caused global warming is a lie, but hey! What the hell, it suits their agenda.

The Greens have a lot on their hidden agenda. If these policies are bought to the forefront then a lot of people who have fallen for the Greens will pick themselves up and walk away, wondering how in God's name they didn't see through the subterfuge!

 The Australian Workers Union national secretary and Labor Party faction leader, Paul Howes, has pointed out, the contemporary Greens are conflicted. There are Greens such as Bob Brown and senator Christine Milne, who are primarily environmental activists. There are Greens such as NSW Senate candidate Lee Rhiannon who are inner-city left-wing political activists.

Howes declared in The Sunday Telegraph that the Greens ''party is being infiltrated by many whose commitment to the environment is questionable, and who are more focused on turning the Greens into a left-wing, socialist-style party''. Earlier, on the The Contrarians program on Sky News, Howes referred to Rhiannon as coming from a family who were ''lifelong members of the pro-Stalinist Socialist Party''. He went on to warn about the ex-communists and socialists ''trying to take over the inner-city branches of the Greens''.

Obama's Gun Control Plans - How to Backdoor the American People!

"The Obama Administration took its first major step in a plan to ban all firearms in the United States. The Obama Administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations," according to journalist Joan Sharon.

By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the U.S. State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the U.S. Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments.

These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as radical billionaire George Soros and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

"The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms," according to Sharon.

Critics believe Obama will appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation in the United States that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws.

UN Carbon Trading Scheme: 'Biggest Environmental Scandal In History'

UNITED NATIONS — An obscure U.N. board that oversees a $2.7 billion market intended to cut heat-trapping gases has agreed to take steps that could lead to it eventually reining in what European and U.S. environmentalists are calling a huge scam.

At a meeting this week that ended Friday, the executive board of the U.N.'s Clean Development Mechanism said that five chemical plants in China would no longer qualify for funding as so-called carbon offset credits until the environmentalists' claims can be further investigated.

The "CDM" credits have been widely used in the carbon trading markets of the European Union, Japan and other nations that signed onto the 1997 Kyoto Protocol requiring mandatory cuts in greenhouse gases.

Rather than cut their own carbon emissions, industrialized nations can buy the credits which then pay developing countries to cut their greenhouse gases instead.

Guess where the money comes from to perpetrate the scam?

When Financial Vultures Circle, the End is Nigh

"Financial vultures have descended on the carcass of the world economy in a flurry of speculation, feeding off last week’s decision by the U.S. Federal Reserve to further hyperinflate the financial system.

The Fed’s announcement of “quantitative easing 2” triggered intense speculation in high-return, high-risk financial paper, as well as a flood of betting on grain futures well above the flow-on effect of Russia’s decision to ban grain exports.

The world’s biggest bond fund, PIMCO, led the vultures, by upping its exposure to “mortgage-related debt”—the leftover mess from the subprime disaster—from 16 per cent to 18 per cent of its total portfolio, confident in the Fed’s renewed commitment to print enough money to bail them out.

Last week, also in response to the Fed’s announcement, U.S. companies issued a record amount of junk bonds at a rate 80 per cent higher than the same week last year.

And at the same time, the vultures settled on to grain speculation, driving the price of wheat on international markets up by 50 per cent in one week, using the excuse of Russia’s export ban, but actually mostly driven by the flood of central bank-created liquidity—the volume of speculation in food futures got to 50 times the amount of real food produced and traded worldwide! In turn, this will drive up food prices in the next few months by 12-20 per cent.

Citizens Electoral Council leader and candidate for Wills, Craig Isherwood declared today, “When the activity you see is among the vultures, you know the system is dead.

“This is the issue that has been covered up in this election,” Mr Isherwood said. “Only the CEC has addressed it.

“There never was a ‘recovery’, and now we’re seeing what Lyndon LaRouche forecast in June—the end of the system. The ‘stimulus’ has worn off, and central bankers like ‘Helicopter Ben’ Bernanke have only one plan: quantitative easing, or as LaRouche said, ‘Call it what it is—Weimar hyperinflation’.”

Mr Isherwood concluded, “Only the LaRouche Plan can fix the world economy: a global Glass-Steagall banking reorganisation and re-regulation; and an economic recovery program centred on LaRouche’s expanded NAWAPA project to increase the productive power of the biosphere globally.

“That’s the alternative to Weimar hyperinflation-style chaos, but it is a very good one.”'

Global Financial Crisis Hits Christ Hard!

JERUSALEM—Dissatisfied with dwindling receipts in recent years, redeemer of humanity Jesus Christ issued a rare public statement Monday, sharply criticizing His followers' lack of generosity and demanding a marked increase in their contributions to the long-standing religion based upon belief in Him.

"This works out to just two and a half cents per prayer, which barely even covers my overhead," Christ said. "If this sort of fiscal imbalance continues, I may have to answer even fewer prayers in the future."

"In my Father's house are many mansions," Christ said. "They are not cheap to maintain. The legal expenses and out of court settlements racked up by some of my clergy are out of this world - so to speak."

But the economic conditions that allowed such a mortgage are disappearing. According to the op-ed author, Katherine Stone, one crucial problem of the housing crisis is that "...today’s mortgages are designed for yesterday’s borrowers."

"While global warming is believed to upset the natural balance of the world leading to various maleffects in different places, it can also increase the number of heart events.

Latest figures have revealed a considerable increase in the number of heart deaths reported in different parts of the world due to the record-breaking temperatures. Apart from dehydrating, heat forces the heart to work harder, contributing to heart failure in sick and old individuals.

According to the study published in the British Medical Journal, extreme spells of hot and cold will both place individuals at an increased risk of dying from heart problems within two weeks of exposure.

The cold weather may make blood more prone to clotting, increasing the risk of developing a cardiovascular event. Every 1C reduction in the temperature on a single day is linked to 200 extra heart attacks, the study found.

The elderly and those with underlying heart problems are believed to be the most vulnerable populations to the condition. Individuals taking blood-thinning drug aspirin for a long-term, on the other hand, are protected against the event.

“Although the increased risk is small, if there is a nationwide drop in average temperature it could equate to a significant number of heart attacks each day,” said Ellen Mason, of the British Heart Foundation.

Scientists therefore urged policymakers and individuals to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases based on lifestyle changes, stressing that it would have substantial benefits both for health and climate protection.

"For example, lowering saturated fat intake by reducing consumption of animal products is a healthy food choice recommended in prevention guidelines for coronary heart disease and a recognized strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emission," she added."

Satellite Failure Means Decade of Global Warming Data Doubtful

US Government admits satellite temperature readings “degraded.” All data taken offline in shock move. Global warming temperatures may be 10 to 15 degrees too high.

The fault was first detected after a tip off from an anonymous member of the public to climate skeptic blog, Climate Change Fraud (view original article) (August 9, 2010).

Caught in the center of the controversy is the beleaguered taxpayer funded National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). NOAA’s Program Coordinator, Chuck Pistis has now confirmed that the fast spreading story on the respected climate skeptic blog is true.

However, NOAA spokesman, Program Coordinator, Chuck Pistis declined to state how long the fault might have gone undetected. Nor would the shaken spokesman engage in speculation as to the damage done to the credibility of a decade’s worth of temperature readings taken from the problematic ‘NOAA-16’ satellite.

‘NOAA-16’ was launched in September 2000, and is currently operational, in a sun-synchronous orbit, 849 km above the Earth, orbiting every 102 minutes providing automated data feed of surface temperatures which are fed into climate computer models.

NOAA has reported a succession of record warm temperatures in recent years based on such satellite readings but these may now all be undermined.

World-renowned Canadian climatologist, Dr. Timothy Ball, after casting his expert eye over the shocking findings concluded, “At best the entire incident indicates gross incompetence, at worst it indicates a deliberate attempt to create a temperature record that suits the political message of the day.”

$6 Billion Profit and Bankrupt!

Here is a news release fromThe Citizens Electoral Council of Australia. It makes very interesting reading and if it isn't true, you would think the CBA would sue the arse of The Citizens Electoral Council of Australia for defamation!

Funny, but I am yet to see this information in the mainstream media.

"CBA has announced a $6 billion profit for 2009-10, which, at around 17 per cent return on investors’ funds, must surely rank as a “super-profit”.

But being able to gouge $6 billion out of its customers through bank fees and interest margins, whilst under the protection of the government, isn’t enough to alter the fact that Australia’s biggest bank is, indeed, bankrupt. As are the rest of them.

How can that be? Well, putting aside the off-balance-sheet derivatives exposure which alone renders CBA and the rest of the banks bankrupt, just look at what’s on the balance sheet.

(Note: a profit and loss statement isn’t the same as a balance sheet. The profit may be spectacular—to the shareholders, not the vict…, er, customers—but the balance sheet is shot. Also, don’t take their word for what is written on the balance sheet—put the figures in the context of what is known about the economy.)

Sixty-five per cent of CBA’s loans are domestic mortgages—it’s the leading mortgage lender in Australia. A bank’s loans are its assets, so domestic mortgages comprise the single biggest component of the assets side of CBA’s balance sheet.

As for liabilities, 50 per cent of the money CBA has lent out as mortgages comes from its depositors, but the other 50 per cent comes from overseas borrowings. This means that half of the money it has loaned out as mortgages it has to repay to its foreign creditors. From previous research, it is known that the great majority of those foreign borrowings are very short-term loans, usually on terms of 90 days. Between them, Australia’s banks share foreign liabilities of over $440 billion, on 90-day terms.

This foreign exposure is a huge vulnerability, and was the reason for Rudd’s bank guarantee in October 2008. It is now known that when foreign creditors refused to roll over their loans to Australia’s banks in October 2008, the panicked banks begged the government to intervene with the guarantee, or “they would be insolvent sooner rather than later”. Of course, Rudd did, but it’s still a vulnerability: according to The Age, 6^th August, visiting HSBC senior executive Sandy Flockhart noted that the heavy reliance of Australia’s banks on overseas borrowings to fund domestic lending leaves them exposed to shocks in global credit markets.

If you managed CBA under these circumstances, you’d think you’d want to make sure that you have on-lent the foreign money you borrowed into investments that are rock-solid. But instead, CBA has lent it straight into a bubble—domestic property. The assets it has lent against are over-inflated in price, and when the bubble bursts, and those prices collapse, CBA will not be able to recoup the value of its lending from the sale of the collateral.

How inflated is the bubble, i.e. how overvalued is domestic property? In June, American fund manager Jeremy Grantham bluntly pointed out that over the long term, housing values are a multiple of 3.5 times household income, but in Australia, they have spiked to 7.5 times. Predicting a close to 50 per cent collapse in Australian property prices, Grantham took a swipe at the “supply and demand” delusion, pointing out that if the Australian property bubble didn’t collapse, “it will be the first time in history”.

Under this scenario, CBA faces the prospect of the value of 65 per cent of its business being slashed by nearly half—a $150-$200 billion hole in the assets side of its balance sheet. That means bankruptcy, any way you cut it. And the bad news? It’s probably not the worst of the Australian banks. CBA is being singled out for example here, because the other big three don’t announce their profits until October.

Citizens Electoral Council leader and candidate for Wills, Craig Isherwood, said today, “If Rudd hadn’t intervened in October 2008 with the bank guarantee, Australia’s banks would have gone bankrupt then—just like the banks on Wall Street and in London. They were not ‘sound’ then, and they are not ‘sound’ now.”

He continued, “The issue is not the management of any one bank—the banks are bankrupt, because the entire global, monetarist system is bankrupt. They aren’t part of a credit system, which finances the production of real wealth, they are speculators and gamblers, which want to take your shirt, because they’ve lost their own."'

Biofuels Emit 400 % More CO2 Than Regular Fuels

(NaturalNews) A recent report issued by the European Union has revealed that biofuels, or fuel made from living, renewable sources, is not really all that beneficial to the environment. Rather than reduce the net carbon footprint as intended, biofuels can produce four times more carbon dioxide pollution than conventional fossil fuels do.

Common biofuels like corn ethanol, which has become a popular additive in gasoline, and soy biodiesel, which is being used in commercial trucks and other diesel-fueled vehicles, are often considered to be environmentally-friendly because they are renewable. But in order to grow enough of these crops to use for both food and fuel, large swaths of land around the world are being converted into crop fields for growing biofuels.

In other words, millions of acres of lush rainforests are becoming corn and soy fields in order to provide enough of these resources for their new uses. The net carbon footprint of growing crops for fuel is far higher than what is emitted from simple fossil fuel usage.

According to the report, American soybeans have an indirect carbon footprint of 340kg of CO2 per gigajoule (GJ), while conventional diesel and gasoline create only 85kg/GJ. Similarly, the European rapeseed, a plant similar to the North American canola, indirectly produces 150kg/GJ because additional land in other nations has been converted to grow rapeseed for food in order to replace the native crops that are now being grown for fuel.

Ironically, the amount of direct and indirect resources used to grow food for fuel is quite high compared to that of conventional fossil fuels. Biofuels also do not burn as efficiently and can be rough on the engines they fuel. Ethanol-enriched gasoline can also reduce gas mileage efficiency by upwards of 25 percent, depending on the vehicle.

Growing food for fuel ends up increasing the price of food for consumers. It also puts additional strain on families, many of whom are already having difficulties making ends meet in current economic conditions.

When all is said and done, biofuels seem to be a whole lot of hype with not a lot of benefit. Environmentally, fiscally and practically, biofuels are a disaster. Fossil fuels may not be an ideal form of clean energy, but at this point in time, they make a lot more sense than biofuels.

US Government in Massive New Global Warming Scandal

Global warming data apparently cooked by U.S. government-funded body shows astounding temperature fraud with increases averaging 10 to 15 degrees Fahrenheit.

'The tax-payer funded National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has become mired in fresh global warming data scandal involving numbers for the Great Lakes region that substantially ramp up averages.

A beleaguered federal agency appears to be implicated in the most blatant and extreme case of climate data fraud yet seen. Official records have been confirmed as evidence that a handful of temperature records for the Great Lakes region have been hiked up by literally hundreds of degrees to substantially inflate the average temperature range for the northeastern United States.

Under a scheme called ‘Sea Grant’ NOAA collaborates with national universities to compile an official federal temperature record. In this instance, the partnersip is with Michigan University’s ‘Coastal Watch.’

Together the two institutions show temperature maps for northern Lake Michigan registering an absurd 430 degrees Fahrenheit -yes, you read it right –that’s four hundred and thirty degrees-and this is by no means the highest temperature recorded on the charts.

In the heated debate about Earth’s ever-changing climate you certainly don’t need to be scientist to figure out that the Great Lakes would have boiled away at a mere 212 degrees so something has seriously gone awry inside this well-funded program.'

This is the type of "data" The Greens put forward as fact to support a Carbon Tax - sorry, not allowed to call it that, i'ts an Emissions Trading Scheme. The Greens can't have too many people knowing the truth.

Last year when all this Carbon Tax, sorry ETS, smokescreen raised it's head I emailed a host of politicians from various parties how an ETS works.

The reply with the least amount of spin - read bullshit - came from NSW Senator and headkicker Bill Heffernan and I quote:

"Essentially, the ETS relies on driving up the price of electricity to drive down people’s consumption and thereby reduce total CO2 emissions. The main problem is that any reduction in CO2 emissions from Australia would simply be offset by emissions from other countries that do not have similar schemes which meant overall global CO2 emissions would not be reduced."

Peru Declares State of Emergency Amid Plunging Temperatures

Hundreds die from extreme cold in remote mountain villages also struggling with severe poverty

Peru has declared a state of emergency after hundreds of children died from freezing conditions that have seen temperatures across much of the South American country plummet to a 50-year low. In 16 of Peru's 25 regions, temperatures have fallen below -24C.

Reports from the country say 409 people, most of them children, have already died from the cold, with temperatures predicted to fall further in coming weeks.

Worst hit are Peru's poorest and most isolated communities, which are already living on the edge of survival in remote Andean mountain villages more than 3,000 metres above sea level.

Although those living at such high-altitude would expect temperatures to drop below zero at this time of year, NGOs and government officials say many are unable to withstand the extreme cold which they are now experiencing.

"Over the past three or four years we have seen temperatures during the winter months get lower, and people are unable to survive this," said Silvia Noble, from Plan Peru, an NGO. "This cold weather is now extending into areas that never saw these low temperatures before and children and elderly people are especially at risk as they are not physically strong enough to last month after month of sub-zero conditions."

Last December, Observer reporters visited farming communities living at more than 3,000 metres above sea level in Huancavelica – one of the areas worst hit by the current cold snap – to find families already struggling with rising child mortality fuelled by malnutrition, poverty and what they say are increasingly erratic and unreliable weather patterns.

Seven months on, local NGOs say these mountain villages are now racked with pneumonia, chronic respiratory illnesses and hunger.

The freeze is also killing hundreds of alpaca. Farmers are struggling to keep livestock alive due to frozen water points and a lack of food, which could have severe repercussions on the ability of families to see out the winter.

The declaration of a state of emergency means authorities in affected states can get emergency funds to provide medicine, blankets and shelter to those most at risk.

Neither party helps the people to find employment, both want to import more cheap labor from Asia and Africa. In short, both parties are full of liars and con-artists. Voting for either of these political machines is an exercise in “stupidity” which allows us to view those who vote this way as stupid based on the foolish/stupid act that they commit when they vote for further enslavement.

Of course the main parties propagate this idea that voting is important and legislate to make it compulsory as they both know that currently it does not make any difference. They get paid anyway. They must think we are all fools.

Albert Einstein once defined insanity as, “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” By Einstein’s definition, it is very clear that past voting falls squarely within Einstein’s definition of insanity.

Every two or four years the politicians from both parties determine what the voting cattle want to hear and they tell it to them. The voters actually believe what they’re being told each and every time and do their duty to the national scam and cast their vote for their favorite liar. Then, after an appropriate amount of time passes, the voters realize they’ve been fooled by the politicians and get “mad as Hell” and vow to “vote the liars out of office” in the next election.

A major problem with this is there are only other liars to replace the first set of liars with!"

The American people did not take up a collection to reward him for his service to them.

Where did the money come from? Who was he really serving during his eight years in office?

How did Tony Blair and his wife, Cherrie, end up with an annual income of ten million pounds (approximately $15 million dollars) as soon as he left office?

Who was Blair really serving?

These are not polite questions, and they are infrequently asked.

While Chelsea’s wedding guests eat a $11,000 wedding cake and admire $250,000 floral displays, Lisa Roberts in Ohio is struggling to raise contributions for her food pantry in order to feed 3,000 local people, whose financial independence was destroyed by investment bankers, job offshoring, and unaffordable wars.

The Americans dependent on Lisa Roberts’ food pantry are living out of vans and cars. Those with a house roof still over their heads are packed in as many as 14 per household according to the Chillicothe Gazette in Ohio."
